In Quebec, the emphasis is on working with people affected by addiction by treating them as experts who know what is right for them. For example, the Alcochoix+ program aims to give people back the ability to make decisions about their drinking.
Access to public resources as well as certified community or private resources is also prioritized. The Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux provides a directory of addiction resources by region.
Drugs: help and referrals offers support, information and referrals to people affected by drug, alcohol and medication use and to those around them.
