Hay Doun - Family support services

The mission of Hay Doun family support services is to serve the community by offering effective tools for integration, social education and support at various levels. Services: Individual and group psychosocial support services, information and training are also available for caregivers of seniors at home. Please note that the centre is open Monday to Friday during the day and services are available in the evening.

INCA Québec

INCA Québec is a not-for-profit organization that contributes to enhancing the quality of life people who are blind or partially sighted by ensuring that they have access to community support. Services are available for people with a vision impairment, but there is also a support group for caregivers of a person with vision loss. It is not necessary to be legally blind to access the services and no prescription is required.

The yellow door

The Generations Project, the Yellow Door's flagship program, is run by two coordinators and over 250 volunteers who serve close to 300 elderly persons in the downtown Montreal area. Many of these friendly visitors are McGill University students who generously volunteer their time and energy.

The Family Caregiver Support Team at the YWCA Montreal provides professional support services tailored to the needs of caregivers. Various services are available: psychosocial follow-up (therapeutic relationship, listening, referral), art therapy, self-help and support groups, talks, themed workshops and wellness activities. Legal information and respite services (in collaboration with other organizations) are also available.
