Winning Practices in Psychosocial Support

Practice

#7 – Ensure an appropriate environment and access to required materials for psychosocial support

It is essential to ensure that the environment is safe, confidential, and conducive to emotional expression, whether through individual or group sessions, in person, online, or in a hybrid format.

Participants should have access to the appropriate materials based on the needs and objectives of the intervention.

Practice

#8 – Use adapted clinical tools in psychosocial support

The use of clinical tools as part of psychosocial support is essential for gathering accurate and relevant information. These tools help assess the caregiver’s context, needs, resources, and specific challenges, thereby supporting the development of personalized and effective interventions.

Clinical tools also structure the support process by contributing to the follow-up and evolution of the caregiver’s situation throughout each stage of their journey.
