Espace Allié (formerly the Association des proches de personnes atteintes de maladie mentale de l'Estrie (APPAMM-ESTRIE)) aims to provide support and information to families and friends affected by a mental health disorder, to develop ways of helping each family, their parents and friends to discover and better use their own potential. The organization also aims to raise awareness of community resources and to promote communication with various stakeholders. It contributes to improving the quality of life of families and friends, as well as that of their loved ones affected by mental illness, in addition to raising public awareness of the problems related to mental illness and their impacts on loved ones.
