Introduction

The goal of the Réseau d'Action pour les Aidants de Jeanne-Mance (RAAJ) is to improve the quality of life of caregivers in the Centre de santé et de services sociaux (CSSS) Jeanne-Mance area.

  • Themes: The caregiver's role, Communicating with a loved one, Work/life balance, Legal and tax information, Government programs and services, Community services
  • Time periods: Daytime (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.), Evening (4 p.m. to midnight)
  • Location: The location varies based on the talks.
  • Cost: Free
  • Access limited to:
  • Family or loved one of a person experiencing loss of autonomy as well as support workers who work with caregivers. Registration is required.
  • Language: French
  • Associated respite service: Yes
  • Respite is available on request.
  • Associated transportation service: No
  • Additional information:
    -Talks on subjects of interest to caregivers. Talks are given during the day but may also be held in the evening.

Training activities

  • Types: Themed workshops
  • Themes: The caregiver's role, Difficult behaviours, Communicating with a loved one, Work/life balance, Themes can be selected based on participants’ needs.
  • Time periods: Daytime (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.), Evening (4 p.m. to midnight)
  • Frequency: The workshops are offered monthly.
  • Location: At Tours Frontenac during the day (1850 Bercy 201B, green room) and at Plumeau, chiffon et cie in the evening (4450 Saint-Hubert Street).
