Introduction

The organization’s mission is to help keep seniors in the community, especially those with cognitive impairments.

Objectives
Provide a respite resource for people with moderate to severe cognitive impairments in a day center.
Develop services and activities for caregivers.
Foster community support for seniors in rent-controlled housing (HLM) in the Saint-Michel area.

Services

Respite

  • 14$ for a half day and 28$ for a full day. An annual membership of $10 is required for regular activity center respite. Several spots are subsidized for caregivers of low-income seniors.

    People with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias are hosted by our specialized team, which can offer them activities adapted to their moods, interests and abilities.

    The respite service is available in two formats:
    -Regular activity center respite: One to two days a week, from Monday to Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The schedule is flexible to meet the family’s needs. The waiting list varies.

    -Occasional activity center respite: Occasional respite without a waiting list and based on spaces available. Contact the organization at least 24 hours in advance to register. The reservation can be made at any time. No time commitment. Available Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The person may be accompanied by a loved one or by the paratransit service.

Facilitated by professionals, they give us an opportunity to provide you convenient times and places for information and discussion. The workshops are generally offered during the day and on weekends, but may also be offered in the evening.
