  • Respite is offered to caregivers of seniors living in the Saint-Michel, Saint-Léonard, Villeray, Petite-Patrie and Rosemont areas to prevent their exhaustion.
  • Duration: Less than 24 hours
  • Time periods: Daytime (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.), Evening (4 p.m. to midnight), Weekend

  • The cost for respite is determined based on the income of the person receiving care and varies between $4 and $26 an hour.

  • Additional information:
    -Respite is offered during the day, but it is also possible to receive services in the evening and on the weekend. The schedule is Monday to Sunday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Home care

  • Rates for light work vary from $8.25 to $18.25 an hour and for heavy work from $14 to $24 an hour.

    Housekeeping services are offered from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Light (regular) housekeeping involves such tasks as:
    -Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming;
    -Cleaning (bathroom, kitchen, bedrooms, etc.);
    -Mopping floors, cleaning mirrors, etc.;
    -Laundry and clothing care.

    Heavy housekeeping (home maintenance) includes such tasks as:
    -Cleaning blinds
    -Cleaning and setting up or storing away patio furniture.

    The organization also offers other home care services:
    -Emergency assistance for shopping and errands

    Odd jobs (some conditions apply):
    -Packing and unpacking moving boxes
    -Cleaning and setting-up an apartment when moving or after renovation work
    -Setting up decorations: Christmas, Halloween, family celebrations, etc.
