Introduction

The Association québécoise des parents et amis de la personne atteinte de maladie mentale Inc. (AQPAMM) is a not-for-profit community organization for relatives and friends of people with mental illness.
It provides family and friends of a loved one with mental health issues with support, referral and information services.

    -Workshops for caregivers of seniors: series of eight workshops designed to inform, guide and support loved ones of a person with a mental health issue. Evening sessions on Thursdays, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Support

  • Location: At the organization, Various points of service. Follow-up with your support worker by telephone is possible as needed.

    -By becoming a member, you can meet with a support worker for one hour, 8 to 10 times, free of charge, as a family, a couple or individually.
    -Support groups: aim to foster development and mutual support while breaking the isolation. Offered at the organization during the day and evening and at other points of service during the evening.
    -Art Therapy: Fosters emotional expression and provides a step back from the caregiver role. Four sessions available, in the day or evening, at the organization.
