The meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. for volunteers working with seniors and on the third Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. for support workers.
These workshops provide an opportunity to exchange with others on the reality of people giving their time to seniors, the pandemic, ageing, the participants’ community and society. Groups are comprised of three to six people and meetings last approximately 90 minutes. The agenda is built on the following model: an “icebreaker” activity; a theme question that sets the discussion in motion; a deliberation, of each of the participants, on an issue or personal question; finally, the meeting ends with the sharing of an idea retained from the activity.
Since we will not be having the “Rendez-vous annuels” in person on Côte-Nord, you can always participate virtually. These meetings are free and offered on the ZOOM platform. All you have to do is register by email: [email protected] A link will be sent to those registered. It is also possible to participate by video or by phone. Compatible audio-video devices are computers, tablets and smartphones.
